Fujitsu Air Conditioning

Fujitsu General was originally founded in Kawasaki, Japan, in 1936, and has been producing air conditioning systems for the UK market for more than 40 years. The current Fujitsu air conditioning range includes the full spectrum of floor standing, wall mounted, and ceiling mounted systems, all engineered to the highest level of reliability and performance. Multi split air conditioning systems, for example, can be fitted unobtrusively into ceilings or walls and, because the condensing unit is located outdoors, noise levels indoors are minimised. This type of Fujitsu air conditioning system can be used in conjunction with a heat pump to provide heating as well as cooling of the air within your home.

Fujitsu Air Conditioning Systems

The neatest and easiest to install of the Fujitsu air conditioning units are the window units. These incorporate the indoor, “evaporator” and “condenser” devices in one single unit and can easily be installed through an open window or a hole in an external wall. A large high pressure fan provides powerful almost instantaneous air conditioning at the touch of a button and a wide range of capacities is available to suit rooms of different sizes. The Fujitsu AKY9U model, for example, provides a cooling capacity of 2.8kW and dehumidifies the air at a rate of 0.9 litres per hour but only has dimensions of 394mm x 457mm x 581mm and a net weight of just 33kg.

For a permanent and perhaps more elegant solution, Fujitsu air conditioning systems are available in compact and standard ceiling cassette form. Ceiling cassettes are installed into the space above the ceiling with a grille flush to the surface of the ceiling itself. Indeed, Fujitsu cassette systems feature a technology known as “Slender Fit” which allows the body of the cassette to be adjusted relative to the grille so that the unit can be accommodated in even the smallest ceiling void. All the Fujitsu cassette models allow conditioned air to be directed in two, three or four different directions so installation in the corner of a ceiling should not present any problems. There is also a branch duct facility so that air can be distributed to adjacent areas. As just one example from the range of Fujitsu air conditioning systems, the AUY24L model offers a cooling capacity of 7.1kW and is capable of circulating air at a rate of 1250m3 per hour.
